CEBEDEAU is a non-profit research and expertise center focused on water, addressing the various challenges of the ecological and economic transition. CEBEDEAU’s key priorities include reducing the water and carbon footprint of water treatment processes, promoting circularity regarding water and associated waste, and preserving the biodiversity of aquatic ecosystems.
Our activities cover the many facets of the water cycle: industrial water, drinking water, urban wastewater, natural waters, and more.
We partner with industries, public authorities, universities and colleges, and research centers, providing them with pragmatic solutions to meet sustainability challenges. To achieve this, we leverage our employees' expertise and utilize cutting-edge technologies, such as advanced oxidation, molecular biology, digital twins, and algorithmic data analysis.
CEBEDEAU participates in European projects within international consortia. We are located in the wooded setting of the Sart Tilman campus in Liège.
You will lead innovative projects dedicated to water treatment and management, with a focus on physicochemical processes. These will be applied projects, often requiring the development of experimental plans as well as the design and monitoring of laboratory pilot units or demonstration systems. At the same time, you will provide support and advice to water sector professionals regarding technology selection, facility design and sizing, process diagnostics, and optimization.
Executing and managing technical expertise or innovation projects: gathering and critically evaluating relevant information, proposing solutions, designing work plans involving experiments, supervising and conducting on-site and laboratory tests, and sharing results with the team;
Managing relationships with our partners and clients;
Drafting service proposals, study reports, and scientific activity reports;
Handling the administrative and financial tracking of your projects;
Staying up to date with scientific and technical innovations (journals, online resources, conferences).
You hold a PhD, Master’s degree, or Engineering degree in environmental science, chemistry, or a related field.
You possess analytical skills and the ability to synthesize information, keeping the main objectives in focus.
Project management expertise is highly valued.
Knowledge of water treatment technologies is an asset.
You are creative, enthusiastic, and curious about science and innovation.
You are bilingual in French (≥C1) and English (≥B2).
Knowledge of Dutch is a plus.
A permanent contract (CDI) offering stability, with an immediate start date.
Working within a team of around forty motivated and welcoming researchers, engineers, and technicians.
Contributing to the development of CEBEDEAU.
